Physical Therapy (PT)
Images are for illustration only.
Physical therapy helps you work on walking, balance, strength, and safe movement at home. PT visits are provided only when ordered by your physician and are tailored to your goals—like moving around the house more safely, managing steps, and supporting steadier movement.
Who physical therapy can help
PT may be helpful for adults who want support with safe mobility and movement at home, such as:
- After a hospital stay or surgery when walking and stairs feel harder
- Balance issues or recent falls (or fear of falling)
- Weakness or deconditioning after illness
- Difficulty getting up from a chair/bed or moving safely around the home
- Needing a home exercise plan and coaching to practice safely
Services depend on physician orders and your individualized plan of care. We do not promise specific outcomes.

Fall safety (general tips)
These are general safety tips. Always follow your physician’s instructions and your PT’s plan, and ask before changing routines.
- Keep pathways clear (cords, rugs, clutter)
- Use good lighting at night (especially to the bathroom)
- Wear supportive shoes (avoid slippery socks)
- Stand up slowly to reduce dizziness
- If you feel unsteady, use your device and ask for help
If you fall and hit your head, have severe pain, or feel unsafe, call 911.
